Instagram - did not have choice

I am not a social media person. I love to meet people and exchange ideas, information etc.

When I heard about facebook, was perplexed. How can that be possible. I was in touch with all friends.  I did not need facebook.

But when I started "Myidentityforwomen", I realized I need some medium to reach out to people to tell them what we do.

Facebook helped a lot to reach to people.
But now that I am here in London with my own jewellery brand "Carline Perulla", I needed another medium to post the pictures of my jewellery as and when I make.

If you use technology as needed then it is indeed a boon.

And here is the account https://www.instagram.com/carlineperulla/

Artists' meet at the Laura I Gallery

All the artists'  that displayed in the Laura I Gallery met and we were interviewed. The private show was aired in the local TV in London and it was covered by newspapers.

It was a delight to talk about inspirations and meet other artists and understand their interpretations.

Jewellery at the Gallery - A lifetime experience

As I wrote earlier, was so surprised about my jewellery winning the entry into the Laura I Gallery.

What to say about the event?
It was packed and there was tremendous response from people.

It was a strange feeling when people came to my place and asked about my jewellery, my inspirations and my interpretation of the jewellery.

There was a beautiful camaraderie among artists, though we have never met before.
Lovely evening.

Last minute jewellery

Usually Murphy's law will always work 100% for me.

How much ever I plan, things will go haywire. In one way, it is good, because I have learned to expect it and accept it.

I wanted to wear something new and different for the Gallery exhibition where they are going to showcase my jewellery. I know it is a life time chance and I am really lucky and grateful to God for this blessing. First confusion, what dress to wear (The dressing culture is totally different to what we wear in India))
Second, what do I wear for jewellery? :(

To be honest, after learning to make jewellery, I lost all interest in wearing them. ( Am I crazy?, I am from India)

For the past one week, been doodling designs. Tried many, wasted some materials. And at last made this, this morning.

Actually it looks more beautiful in person, and I feel, photos dont do justice.
Sterling silver with gold plated, silver leaf and amazing Amethyst rocks.
Will post images from the Gallery tomorrow.

I dont know about others, I am feeling very nervous about this whole thing in the evening.

Was really excited to see so many variety of jewellery, gemstones at the IJL yesterday. An overwhelming experience.

Exihibitors from all over the world exhibited their jewellery; Russia, France, Hongkong, India, USA, Dubai. What a giant exhibition it was.

Reached Olympia in the morning at 10, and came out only at 6 p.m.
Wish to go again. One place where you can see many different types and styles of jewellery

Below is the catwalk of the bridal jewellery. Beautiful.

Coloring on metals - sun jewellery

Been working on this type of jewellery for some time. Amazing results.

It gives you more room to vent your artistic urges.
